LEFKADA

The island of Lefkada is one of the foremost tourist destinations and is the birthplace of great people with a great history and tradition.

Lefkada is one of the Greek islands that exploration can be exciting. It is an island that has it all.

Endless sandy and hidden pebble beaches, dense forests and waterfalls, lagoons and mountains, villages lost in green, isolated lighthouses and old churches.

The island can be imaginary divided into three parts:
The east coast, with its small bays, the rugged interior, with difficult paths due to the lush vegetation and the west coast with its famous beaches.

For many travelers the western coastline is their choice. It has the most beautiful beaches in the country and it is no coincidence that every year some of them are included in the top beaches in the world in travel articles.

Here height has the main role as the mountains drop steeply into the Ionian Sea, resulting in brilliant beaches all of which are characterized by beautiful white pebbles.
Starting from the town of Lefkada the first big beach that we meet is Pefkoulia, with its name describing its beauty as the pine trees reach the sea shore.

The traditional village Agios Nikitas is next and the cosmopolitan Kathisma.

Moving southwest, picturesque villages hang on the wooded slopes while at sea at a distance of 8 km there is a stretch of golden beaches, some of them can only be approached by boat.

Reaching the last village Athani, the beaches easily accessed are Yialos beach from the front of the village, Egremnous beach and Porto Katsiki beach with the unreal natural landscape.
